FCS Food Hub The FCS Food Hub was established by Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in response to the growing need for reliable food assistance for individuals and families throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
The Food Hub officially opened on June 1, 2020, providing food assistance five days a week during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. As community needs evolved, operating hours were adjusted to two days per week, along with service every other weekend. Beginning January 1, 2021, the Food Hub transitioned to its current schedule, serving the community on the second and fourth Saturday of every month.
Today, the FCS Food Hub serves more than 300 families each month, with that number increasing significantly during the holiday season. More than a food shelf, the Food Hub is a place where families are welcomed with dignity, compassion, and hope.
The FCS Food Hub operates under the leadership of the Friendship Community Services Board of Directors, with day-to-day operations made possible through the dedication of committed staff and volunteers.

Fighting Food Insecurity. Building Food Access. Food insecurity affects thousands of Minnesota families every day. In many neighborhoods, access to fresh, affordable, and nutritious food remains limited due to transportation challenges, economic hardship, and the location of full-service grocery stores. These barriers contribute to poorer health outcomes and place additional burdens on families already facing difficult circumstances. The FCS Food Hub exists to remove those barriers by providing nutritious food with dignity, compassion, and respect. Every distribution is an opportunity to nourish our neighbors, strengthen community connections, and remind every individual and family that they are valued.
