FCS FoodHub was established at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in response to the need for a food resource center serving residents in the metro area. The Foodhub opened on June 1st, 2020, serving the community five days a week. In August, it transitioned to a schedule of two days a week, plus every other weekend. Starting January 1st, 2021, the Foodhub monthly schedule was changed to the second and fourth Saturday of every other month. Since then, it has been serving over 300 families monthly and more during the holidays.
The Foodhub is overseen by the Friendship Community Services Board, with the day-to-day operations being overseen by Volunteers. From left to right:
