About Friendship Community Services (FCS)
Founded in 1994, Friendship Community Services (FCS) has been a cornerstone of family enrichment and community empowerment for over three decades. With a steadfast commitment to strengthening families through education, FCS delivers innovative, research-based programs that equip parents, children, teens, and adults with the tools they need to thrive.
Our History
Since its inception, FCS has focused on providing high-quality family enhancement programs designed to build stronger relationships and healthier communities.
In 2000, FCS adopted the nationally recognized Creating Lasting Family Connections program—an award-winning, evidence-based initiative that helps families improve communication, deepen relationships, and equip children with the life skills necessary for long-term success. This program marked a significant milestone in expanding FCS’s impact and effectiveness in serving families.
Also in 2000, FCS launched Friendship Academy of Fine Arts, a kindergarten through 6th-grade elementary school dedicated to academic excellence and creative expression. The Academy integrates fine arts with core academics, fostering well-rounded development and a love of learning in every student.
Over the years, FCS has expanded its offerings to include a variety of educational courses and enrichment opportunities for teens and adults, reinforcing its commitment to lifelong learning and holistic family development.
